Current News from the Weekly Bulletin

  • Grand Opening -- Our expanded facility is now open! Celebrate with our whole community the blessing of expanded classroom space and nurseries, new foyer, youth center for 220, children's theater for 150, commercial kitchen and coffee shop.

  • Fourth of July -- Invite your friends to Saturday, July 4 conneXion's Fourth of July round table service. Concludes with hot dogs, popsicles, volleyball and fellowship.

  • Information Center — Located at the West entrance, the Information Center is staffed every service by the Weekend Receptionist and volunteers who can assist you. Pick up brochures, forms, map of the facilities and tithe and offering envelopes.

  • Guest Services Kiosk — Located at the North entrance, Guest Services is a dedicated space for meeting the staff and leaders of Faith Assembly. If you are a first time guest please stop by the kiosk after service. We’d like to get acquainted and give you a gift.

  • Grounds For Faith coffee shop is now open. Visit GFF before or after services. Enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and superb coffee or Italian Soda.

  • Mariner's Group Outing — Join the FAL group outing to the Mariner’s game on Monday, July 6. Reserved seat tickets are available for $10 at the kiosk.

  • Chase The Goose — Reclaim the adventure of living a Spirit-led life. New class meets Wednesdays, 7:00 pm in the new classroom (Room 205) with leaders Craig and Lori Ralls, 349-5047. 
    Inspired by the Celtic name for the Holy Spirit—the Wild Goose—author Mark Batterson explores the idea of reclaiming the adventurous spiritual life God intended for His followers. True Goose-chasers will learn how to leave behind the cages that have held us back in the past.

  • Thank you — Thank you everyone who contributed all the beautiful new items for the nursery. Your gifts and donations are a blessing to the babies and toddlers and to the nursery staff and parents.

  • Young Adults — Location change: The college/career age small group now meets in FAL's Room 205, Tuesdays at 7:00 pm. See Pastor Brad, 459-1444, for more information. Save the dates July 17-19 for Young Adults camping trip.

  • VBS Pre-register now for Son Harvest County Fair Vacation Bible School. In our adventures at Son Harvest County Fair, lessons from the book of Galatians will focus on “Growing the Fruit of the Spirit.” Each day is filled with great worship experiences, recreation, crafts, snacks and fun. VBS is July 20-24 from 9:00 am-12:30 pm, Monday-Friday for kids K-6th grade. Free admission.

  • VBS Refreshment Items — We are providing refreshments for approximately 300 kids each day at Vacation Bible School. Donations are appreciated. Sign your name in the Friendship Register to each item you will donate: bottled water, juice, apples, oranges, grapes, crackers, graham crackers, pretzels, chips, vegetable trays, sandwich bread, chili, eggs, peanut butter.   • Softball Schedule — FAL has three teams playing in the community church softball league. Games played at “The RAC” on Marvin Rd by Steilacoom. Come support our teams.

  •  WAVE Student Ministries now meet Wednesdays in the new Youth Center, Room 120, 7:00 pm. All youth entering 7th-12th grade are invited.
     WAVE Special Guests July 8: Crossing, a student ministry worship band from Northwest University, will be ministering.

  • Men’s Breakfast — No breakfast this month because of the holiday.

  • T-Bone Steak Grill — Sign up in the Friendship Register for the men's/boys' T-bone steak grill and gentlemen's competitions, Friday, July 31 from 5:00-9:00 pm @ FAL near the bus garage. Cost is $10 each payable @ the grill.  Contact is Tom Bowen, 486-0462.

  • Outdoor Water Baptism — Baptism is an outward demonstration of an inward decision to follow Christ. If you are ready for this next step in your spiritual journey, we are celebrating water baptisms Sunday, August 9, 6:00 pm in a special outdoor service at Gwinwood, down the street from FAL. Stop by the Information Center today to ask for the baptism booklet with Bible study. Be sure to turn in your application right away.

  • Pursuit Night of Worship — Join us for a night of powerful praise and worship Sunday, July 12, 6:00 pm in the Sanctuary.

  • Helping Hands PURPOSE: To serve the needs of the church family in practical areas, through ministering in ways that help meet people’s needs at the moment. When there is an urgent need for support during times of illness, a birth, or a death in the family, our team brings help and hope through meals, visitation and practical helps. To be part of this valuable, ongoing ministry team, sign up in the Friendship Register. For more information call Clarice Shaw, 951-2427.

  • Moms’ Park Days — You are invited to bring the kids with you for a play time at the park and fellowship time for moms. These summer outings sponsored by Moms’ Group will be on varying weekdays at different settings each week. Call Tricia Uchytil, 456-7674, for details

    . Defiance Zoo: Thursday, July 2 meet at the front gate at 10:30 am. Pack a lunch.

  • Clothing Bank — Free kids clothing. Clothing Bank is open the second weekend of the month after services at FAL’s bus garage.

  • Food Bank — Food bank is open weekly after services on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings at FAL’s bus garage. This food resource is open to everyone, with assorted items, while supplies last. You’re welcome to take food for friends.

  • For Your Tax Records In order to receive statements for credit on charitable contributions for tax purposes, please use a tithe and offering envelope. Get your envelope with personalized number in the church office during the week. For your convenience on Saturdays and Sundays turn in your request with the weekend receptionist and we will mail it to you.

  • Call to Prayer — Prior to each weekend service we gather for prayer in the Annex. You are invited to join us fifteen minutes before church to pray for God’s purpose to be accomplished in our services and for a sense of His presence and anointing.

  • Sermon CD Audio recordings of the weekend messages are  available on CD. Cost is $3. Order your copy in the Welcome Center. For a downloadable .mp3 version, click here.

WE’VE FINISHED CONSTRUCTION!
We rejoice in the knowledge that we’ve undertaken a building project that was birthed with God’s instructions to “build the church.” It has been a ten month process and now we can celebrate with our whole community the blessing of expanded classroom space, new foyer, youth center for 220, children’s theater for 150, commercial kitchen and coffee shop.
