Pastor Peter Degon Teaching/Small Groups Pastor

Peter leads our Saturday night service we call ConneXion.  The focus of the service is authenticity.  Everyone is encouraged to come and be him/herself.  It is a young minded, relaxed atmosphere that is easy to connect with, even if you don’t regularly attend church.

Peter is also the point person for our small group ministry.  We believe that life change happens best in small groups.  Everyone needs friends with whom they can laugh, cry, celebrate, encourage and grow with.  Small groups are usually 6-12 people who get together on a regular basis to grow spiritually and form deeper friendships.  The majority of people at Faith Assembly look out for one another in a small group.  If you aren’t yet in a small group click here.

Peter and his wife Stacy have two beautiful kids.  Luke age four, and Kambree, who is two.  They also have a golden retriever named Meg.  As a family they love parks, swings, slides, baseball, and squirt guns.  They also love to open the sunroof and listen to music.  Basically Luke is mini Peter and Kambree is mini Stacy.  Peter is a rabid Seahawks fan.  He also enjoys ultimate Frisbee, basketball, cars, I-tunes, leadership, and finding creative ways to save money.

Peter believes nobody’s perfect and we all need Jesus.  We don’t have to pretend to have it together.  We can be real with each other and honest about our need for God’s grace.  God loves us just the way we are, but He loves us too much to leave us that way, He wants us to be like Jesus.

“I believe God is more concerned about where you’re going than where you’ve been.  It is important to ask, who am I today?  But it’s even more important to ask, who am I becoming?”
