Expanded Values
"Equipping for here and hereafter...
with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ."

  1. WE VALUE the Bible as God's word; therefore, we will encourage people to read and to study it. This will develop doctrinal purity and is foundational to spiritual growth.

  2. WE VALUE the Great Commission; therefore, we will give priority to communicating the gospel - the Good News - to our community, our nation, and the world by preaching, training, sending, giving, and praying. "It's not just how many we bring in, but also how many we send out."

  3. WE VALUE the church's role in society and believe we are appointed by God to be a "city set on a hill." Therefore, we will be "salt and light" in our culture and speak to the issues of the day. We will endeavor to be gracious always, yet never compromise the biblical perspective.

  4. WE VALUE the local church; therefore we will encourage others and network with them. As a healthy life will reproduce, a healthy church should reproduce. We will constantly watch for opportunities to plant and strengthen other local churches.

  5. WE VALUE God's grace to us; therefore we will be tolerant of a spectrum of political, economic, racial, and theological orientations - yet keep a common commitment to the practice of Christianity, stressing New Testament principles.

  6. WE VALUE prophecy and God's voice. While structure is essential for order and effectiveness, we must always be open to the prompting and leading of the Holy Spirit to be in God's will.

  7. WE VALUE the healing Christian community. We exist to see the Holy Spirit at work through us as Christ's people in physical, emotional, spiritual, and relational healings.

  8. WE VALUE Christian education and see it as a shared responsibility between home and church. We will especially invest in our children because we see them not just as the church of tomorrow, but a vital part of the church today.

  9. WE VALUE families; therefore, we will strengthen them with a variety of programs directed to specific needs, such as spiritual growth, marriage relationships, parenting skills, and age level training activities. We are called to enhance the quality of home life, whatever the family configuration - be it single parent, a traditional nuclear family, or single adults.

  10. WE VALUE the priesthood of the believer and believe that every Christian has personal access to God through Jesus Christ. Therefore, each one should take the initiative to become a spiritually mature, reproducing Christian. (disciple) Counseling will not be the focus of our ministry.

  11. WE VALUE stewardship that is faithful and responsible. We believe that God's work is sustained by a generous spirit among His people through giving tithes and offerings, time and talent. We recognize that all of our resources are God's ministering capital.

  12. WE VALUE holiness as a lifestyle and believe it is a command of God. We value honesty, integrity, moral purity, and a consistent personal prayer life.

  13. WE VALUE godly character and realize that spiritual growth often comes through dark times. Therefore, we will not expect to be pain-free since suffering can be a valuable part of life. "God is more interested in our character than our comfort."
